I think they are called " Peek-a-boo " Trailers
American trailers…too long…only two axles…and no strength in the build…think we ought to show them how to build triaxles.
A lot of the yank box trailer dont seem to have a chassis, the box is the chassis and the rubbing plate and axles are on seperate subframes

Tankers are build like that.
As a slight aside, I was watching one of the heavy recovery guys vids on the old Tube the other night and they dug an artic out of soft ground which had what looked like super singles on the unit drive axles.
Never seen that before but no doubt our friends on here from over there might comment.
Q trailers, just like Q ships during WW2. One falls apart, it gets replaced with another one just as bad.

I’m sure some hauliers tried them over here years ago… Thompsons’ of Devon springs to mind.
