I can’t help feeling that in the days before we all had digital cameras, “Motorist doesn’t clear snow from car properly” would not have made national news.

Slightly ot but still snow related, I left the yard at stupid o clock yesterday morning, obviously the truck was clear of snow (dontcha just love programmable night heaters?) but the amount of powdery snow coming off the fridge was staggering. By the time I saw anybody else it was cleared, but how do I stand legally in such a situation?
my son was on a5 today(hinckley/m42) cops in side road and up in lay-by. were pulling vehicles up for this and handing out tickets

If they have the plate the driver should be contacted at told he’s a moron. I saw some woman come onto the M3 this morning with 2 inches of snow on her roof and bonnet , as she speed up the snow started falling off the rear and hitting cars , the snow on her bonnet was spraying on her wind screen . Some people’s thickness amazes me…
Must have been a good job that your trailer didn’t have two inches of snow on the roof when you joined the public road network. Personally I’ve always been too lazy and unprofessional to climb up and scrape it off.

Last year I was coming down the m62 past Warrington heading back to Liverpool, just before dawn. I was being overtaken by a truck. All that I can tell you is there was an almighty bang, I thought I was in a major smash. What had happened was either ice or snow came off the overtaking truck and hit my truck (a Scania) smashing the visor and one of the visor spot lights. I don’t mind telling you, I got a fright ! Certainly woke me up !
Wouldn’t they need to prove who was driving? If it were me I’d of sold the car by now lol
