Some pics of my old work and other stuff

Hi! Yeah i know what you mean there, always nice to find someting you dont see every day
Well winter is coming we had a couple of sno falls. One that hit Stockholm and as always everybody was caut of gard. People had to sleep in there cars and things like that. The E4 was blocked for 12-14 hours. My mate with the new trombon sleept and an exit just south of Stockholm he stod there for 12hours. I was lucky to on a holliday in fuerteventura
I had a nice litle snowstorm this morning going to Gälve with a part of a cruscher, but the total of 86000kg i hardly felt the slippery road :sunglasses:
And then i tipped inside a mechaicshop so that was really nice!

Bloody hell! Stuck for 12h…? Quite the snow storm I imagine…haven’t seen much snow over here, luckily!
Nice pic’s again Danne! That wheelloader with the forks on, what make is that? Lungby? Looks rather impressive…

Cheers, Patrick

Well it wasnt that mutch snow just traffic packning up of the snowplows weren’t out early enough. And that stupid people dont put there winter tyres on…
That wheelloader is a real beast! Its an old CAT 992! Just love it but its geting a replacement machine sone,a Volvo L350.

Happy new year mate!

Aah lovely machines those old trusty CAT’s… wouldn’t have guessed it though, the cab put me of like…I reckon it’s better to keep that old beast instead of replacing it by that L350
Thought winter tyres were prohibited up north■■?

Hi mate! Sorry for the late reply. No the they are not prohibited, from december its infact a law that make us have them! But it dont have to be them with spikes in them odernery M/S as they are called is ok. The M/S have a softer rubber mix so they dont get hard if you get what i mean?
But in some citys spikes are prohibited. I havent had tyres with spikes in 15-18 years so they are really good. If you ask me.

Never had proper winter rubber on, always used the M+S tyres, got away with just that most of the times… Would be quite a experience to drive with spikes on though I reckon

My wife have spikes on here Skoda superb 4x4 and its fantastic! Nerver had any on a truck, but that werry unusual to use spikes on a truck tyre. Some plowtrucks and maby some timbertruck but then its really rough conditions. I have Continental on drive axl and Michelin on the front just M/S works great. But then i got my own “sandbox”

Danne

Up here in Bodø I see spikes on trucks all the time, we use an 8x4 Scania with a huge Palfinger crane a couple of times a week and it has spikes on all axles. On small cars I don’t see the point really, maybe inland like around E45 but on the coast a good set of friction tyres like the GoodYear UltraGrip ICE2 I have on my Volvo V50 are perfect…

Hi mate! How is it up in the north? Yeah up north maby more comon but then a truck with a big crane on it are not so fun on winterroads really. Werry front heavy and ofcourse not mutch at the back. I like to compere and see how mutch difernce it is.
But down were i am we almoste havent had any snow this season…

Brilliant mate! Your own sand/salt box   Don’t reckon that’s a standard feature on the Volvo list eh

Yeah they are briljant mate! Perfect put some sand out and stop the trailerwheels on when its snowy and ice conditions, then you reduce the risk of the trailer to slide away when you try to drive the machines up on it! Oh and ofcourse in hills when slippery

Danne

Much better then that old rusty bucket I’m carrying around… :unamused:

New addition to our fleet.
I like the fact that we are at the Volvo dealer
Danne

Had enough with waiting for three days minimum for even the simplest parts on the Volvo?

Haha mm well maby so. But that trip to Dubai that he got if he sign for the Scania maby had somthing to do with it

Danne

On the other side of the pond it’s Volvo that offers trips all around the globe, just buy one  Two of my former bosses were in Colombia last week after buying an FH, well, one bought one and the other one probably ten.
