Some people

Saw a good one today.
M74 n/bound between J44 Carlisle and VOSA station, there are roadworks. The inside lane is closed off with a metal barrier, so you have 2 lanes running, with the central reservation on the other side…so nowhere to go either side, essentially.

I saw everything ahead braking up and jockeying for position, there was a car broken down on what was now the inside lane which was bad enough, but the clown who was the driver was still sat in his seat with his arm out of the window waving it about to warn people to overtake :unamused:  ,… instead of getting to ■■■■ over the inner barrier and standing clear.
How he aint dead is a miracle.
Some people are just ■■■■ unbelievable in the common sense and sense of survival department. :unamused:

He did manage to live to tell the tale as his car was on the back of a wrecker on my way back from changeover, I thought maybe ‘‘Give him the benefit of the doubt, he may have been disabled’’…but no, walking around perfectly. :unamused:
So just pure idiot porkmeat rather than anything else.

Nice to see you so concerned about our fellow road users but as you know for every decent one out there( there) are 50 who live like and act like they need someone to help blow there nose
Thanks beat to god he wasn’t a mate

No bloody sense between the lot of 'em,
last week, single carriageway fast new road, car broke down on the long left hand bend and she’s (am i allowed to say she or is that a two gender 'ist assumption and i’m about to be hauled off to the gulag :unamused: ) sitting in it…but that in itself isn’t the issue, it’s one of those new roads where the really shallow drain running alongside the road you could easily cross as the car rolled to a halt onto the dry solid flat grass verge beside…now i know for a fact if that was any of us, or my Mrs, if the car was conking out as it slowed we/she would have let the car roll completely off the road so not only leaving the road clear but self preservation for crying out loud.

I thought you seen the light rob and did 4 days a week , I saw today , sat !!!

Well you know me ‘mate’ (bestie  ) got to keep pounding the roads to fund those hols I can’t afford.

Btw…never beaten God, and never said he was a mate…hope that means something in Nightlineland, (if so I’ll continue to humour you, so do let me know  )

Moving on… :open_mouth:

Yep you see it all the time.
I hate to say it but I actually agree with (my new best friend  ) Nightline, and his nose blowing analogy.
You see more and more people stood safely on hard shoulder than you used to though (never understood why truckers feel the need to it btw, but that’s another point) but you always get the odd knob head such as today.

Btw…it aint 2 gender anyymore mate, how could you forget the ‘‘Non Binary’’ community.

Indeed. He was obviously unaware dieseldog999 and his fellow countrymen use that stretch of road. I’m guessing none of the V8 fanny in a scanny paddies running for the boat were about at the time if he managed to survive in one piece.

I’m both surprised and dismayed at your lack of gender awareness you old fossil…

Maybe you should buy and wear this t-shirt to educate yourself and others…

   off to the gulag it is then :smiling_imp:

I wonder if the irony of that ad has been twigged at Amazonian yet :sunglasses:

Trouble is, they’d probably stand by the drivers door directing traffic while party standing in lane 2. At least if they are in the car, the fire brigade only have to pickup one body part not 50 bits splattered across the road. :open_mouth:

As for Amazon, they probably leave it there as a way to find the stupid people and quietly remove them from society…secret government lists et al.

/conspiracy

The ones that bewilder me are the ones who have broken down on the hard shoulder, get out of their car, and then sit/stand EXACTLY where the car would go should it get hit by a fully laden artic at 56mph.

I do however see some of them wearing tin foil shields to protect themselves from such an impact.

I have an image in my head of people stood at the side of the road wearing a saucepan on their head

Gives a whole new meaning to the term “pot-head”
