Some interesting pics there Mat, loved the side pipes on the rigid scania!

Which band’s gear have you been carting round recently?

What’s the deal on the FM7 with the catwalk? What sort of work was it built for.

As for the NH I’m not a bullnose fan but they look so much better than the T Cabs, although you can see the FH bits it’s a bit less obvious than the R series + bonnet

We have a few like that in Denmark, working for building suppliers the ones I have seen. They deliver to sites and from what I have seen its as simple as getting to the crane without having to jump to the ground and they also seem to deliver things like drainage pipes were the extra length the catwalk gives helps with the overlength pipes they sometimes carry. I have a feeling a steel stockist near Vejle has the same trucks, so perhaps rigids are good for site work and the catwalk gives a better length possibility. I will have a look next time i pass.

ewwwwww! had a fl7 unit, the cab was small enough to start with, without lopping 2ft off the width

They are mostly used for carrying lengths of steel by stockholders to customers.
In France you see them quite a lot,I have seen Renaults where the cab is in the middle, just enough room to swing the wheel, and the steel is carried either side.
