Taken at the Woodvale Rally, RAF Woodvale, Southport at the beginning of August -McInnes of Alloa ERF
FSR Machine Tool Engineering Ltd Bedford
Had travelled down late so too dark for any Pics on the way down, thought I’d get some on the way back up but the heavens opened so only managed this at Southwaite
Went to Tenerife the week after but nothing much of interest other than this -
Right old Lucky Bag this lot eh!!. Heading out for another Truck Hunting Trip on Thursday probably down the 74 so if anyone spots a couple of Numpties in the MSA’s taking Pics take pitty and gives a hoot !!.
The Austin Devon pedal car brings back a few memories, and was that a D-type Jag behind the Bedford?
Can’t say that I recall McInnes of Alloa, but that, mainly Scottish, habit of
maximising the side of the cab for the name was very popular at one time. I
expect others can come up with similar examples, didn’t Sammy Anderson do
that too?
, and was that a D-type Jag behind the Bedford?
David, it looks to me like an Austin Healey 3000.

When I was akid many years ago the barbers my parents took me to had a model one of those and I used to sit in it to have my haircut.
Never did get a good haircut but the car was great and you got a fruit salad sweetie after.
It made you forget about the blood running down from your ear when he nicked it
D Type Jag
Healy 3000
That settles it ,then…?
thanks some very nice photos, will be
waiting for your next post
I bow to everyone’s superior memory, except Harry’s, who really has confused the 2
.
As for Airhorn’s ear nicking barber - is there a market for hot ears then
Come to think of it, Airhorn? Not for blowing but hearing, you stick 'em in the holes where your ears used to be.
Sorry mate, couldn’t resist, sad innit?
