Same pic different perspective. I took this one when we were all parked up in Qatar Navigation yard. This was during a period of time when I was doing internals from Doha to the Emirates and the fellow with the blue 141, is Keith i think. He did a few internal trips with me, enjoying some “forty ton” macaroni backloads out of Jebel Ali.
We rescued him one trip in Kuwait, when he has been stuck there for weeks, because his engine failed.
Then me and him just kind of linked up and he came to Doha and stayed a while. We had some good nights out in Dubai!! I will find some pics and post them.
After my internal stint, I got back on the Doha run until I finished with transport.
By the way, the one of me " caning the tarmac " is the pic that I have which is a bit large to scan. Thanks for that, you saved me the problem.

Harry. Gordon still looks the same…bar a few more wrinkles and some thicker glasses! He’s a top bloke and is enjoying life. He’ll be 68 soon.
Those 3 photos from Axorman. Iveco Eurostar was owned by Robert Hackford who spent a while on for Astran. Truck sold ages ago, Robert gone back to school teaching, now living in Rome i beleive.
Scania 143 owned by Roger “RABBITT” Goole ( R.E.G Overland). Also sold now, Rabbitt still runs a mid lift FH12 but nowadays doing Edwin Shirley work.
!43 streamline also sold to a Dutchman but still in Astran livery. Has nothing to do with Astran now but can be seen regularly in hte UK.
Has anybody got the LDD of Aberdan Freight, which was a 2 parter in Truck magazine in the 80’s, or anyone have fotos for a modelling project.
