What a ■■■■■■
you only have to use the road that goes over the level crossing about 2 yard to the side of that bridge to avoid it ![]()
I bet the barriers were down and the traffic was gridlocked like normal so he/she chose to chance it under the bridge to avoid the wait.

SHOCKING!!! hit again. Are people ■■■■■■■ blind!!!
On the other hand there’s the arched bridge on the A610 at Ambergate Derbyshire which is 15 ft ,it has a warning system on it which flashes over height vehicle turn back on approach, however this system also warns high vehicles to use the middle of the road on a illuminating sign,my problem with this is that you can fit a Volvo fh globetrotter or Erf Olympic under this bridge and hug the ns kerb ,this system must need adjusting as at about 50 yds from the bridge the sign flashes on coming vehicle in middle of road ,before you can slow down a poxy 7.5 tonner will come full bore under the bridge in the middle of the road with out need ,I should point out this bridge is on a bend and it’s not possible to see what’s coming ,why would you keep knockin on when using the middle of the road ?rant over !
I always repeat, take the side road, take the side road, take the side road, on the 142, don’t know why as we’re about 2m too high, but that’s one bridge you really don’t want to get wrong when driving for Turners as it’s practically on Soham’s doorstep ha ha.
I’ve known me be stuck there 20+ mins waiting for freight trains coming and going from Felixtowe and the passenger trains leaving the station. Mind you I’d rather be stuck at a level crossing for 20 mins than under a bridge for most of the day ![]()
