Some bad apples out there, that ruin it for the good apples

I have seen right Muppetry of the highest order lorry drivers .
Here just a few examples, a few months ago, late at night, coming down from Glasgow to Teebay.
The fog was bad, you could only see half a trailer length in front of you .
This did not slow down the parcel artics belting it full speed in the blindness of thick fog.
If any vehicles were stranded ahead, no chance of seeing it, reaction to it, applying brakes to it, skidding distance .
Another Muppet award to artics in narrow lanes in average speed road works, their vehicle is too wide, and prevents cars getting past .

Cars don’t need past, they’ll be doing the same speed as said artic.

So, just how are these trucks supposed to get through the roadworks??

I think Toby wants the apple carts to stick to the wide lanes, so they can leave before the roadworks and rejoin the next junction up? Or maybe they should “barrel on thro” the narrow bits?

Or sat in lane 2 at 40mph sticking to it like ■■■■ to a blanket.

What I mean is, lane one is for any vehicles.
Lanes two and three are the resticted narrow lanes where lorries do not fit in the average speed road works .
I see lorries in lane two , which means they need lane two and three ,as they don’t fit in lane two, which prevent the cars getting past in lane three .

He probably means middle lane where there’s a width limit and hgv’s are not permitted.

Just reminded me of the last trip I did before packing up and coming out here. On way back from Sheffield on the motorway when it pee’d down unusually (in those days) hard. Visibility was well down and I was down to about 30, as most others were. Artics and others were belting past. A bit further down, the rain cleared and I came across a big pile up where the front corner of a trailer had gone through the side of a coach and there were others cars and lorries all over the road.

What can you do but keep out of the way of idiots ?
