Some golden comments in there…!!!
They really do bring it upon themselves.
Bring what upon themselves? Nearly getting wiped out by an articulated truck with an agressive driver? The cyclist is a complete moron however there is no need for any driver to do what some of these trucks were doing. END OF
Anyone who thinks otherwise should not be on the road.
Way I see it is this…
He fully knows the score what is going to happen, in terms of being cut up, and the dangers of riding a bike on a busy road, but is purposely and deliberately putting his own life in danger just to make a point on some kind of one man crusade quest for martyrdom. …thick as, imo.
Some people are just far too ■■■■ stupid for their own good, …Find an alternative route or a safer hobby ffs.
After saying that mind you, there were a couple of classic examples of bellendery with some of those drivers.
Way I do it is if you see a bike, think about what could happen, and give them plenty of room,…even if it’s only to protect your own licence (and freedom ) rather than any concern for the thick prick like this guy astride his ■■■■ Raleigh.

Would you go to K.K.K. meeting and say that Obama was the greatest living man ever?
Would you expect to walk away untouched? Any bruises you gather would not be justified, but would be predictable.
Riding like an idiot, with no thought of self preservation will encourage bad driving from others.
It *shouldnt* of course, and I
m not saying that two wrongs make a right, but in the real, less than perfect, world, he is bringing some of this stuff on himself.
I’m with RR on this one. You have to protect yourself as a driver and ignore these bellends. Of course it’s tempting to retaliate but it then makes you as bad as them.
Personally if I felt that aggressive towards a cyclist I would rather pull up at the side of road and knock his block off rather than mow him down with my truck.
they cyclist is just a wazzok looking for some youtube fame and glory and deserves his hopefully inevitable mortuary slab wearing his bike.
time for these classics again.

personally i prefer the clips where the cyclit gets creamed as in these two.

In this case yes.
Just because you can do something, doesn’t mean you should and in this case, strapping a bunch of cameras to yourself and go out looking for trouble. You are probably going to find it.
Just like the hapless 3 in Mr.Dogs clip. Yes, lawfully he may have been “in the right” but it’s not like it’s going make his foot grow back.
Its like going into a pub wearing the opposing team’s shirt on game day or posting on an internet forum for lorry drivers telling them all how unprofessional they are.
That kind of contrarian muppetry.

His replies to anyone who point out his own recklessness show he is either one of those cyclists who expects everyone else to be careful for him, doesn’t understand just how reckless his own riding is or worse, one of those types who doesn’t even possess a driving license and is clueless about road rules
Could we set up a crowd funding page to send him to London for two weeks, albeit we may not need the last week of the two.

No cyclist deserves that kind of dangerous behaviour. You seem to be another who either can’t read or can’t understand plain English.
I have NEVER said all lorry drivers were unprofessional. I will always stick up for the good ones but they seem to be in decline these days. I am not the only one with this view on this forum BTW.
Try being a little less biased and you might understand the realty of the situation.

+1
well said there my man…
but who on earth could you possibly be thinking of that would constantly be posting on a lorry forum incessantly reminding us how unprofessional some lorry driver are and how superior they profess to be in relation to said persons ?
OMG. Grow up.
Too many odd people around.
I will gladly leave you in peace.
‘Contrarian muppetry’ could be applied to the numerous trucks in the video crossing the solid white lines and forcing oncoming traffic to take evasive action to save their own and possibly the truck drivers lives. Bleat away about the cretinous cyclist, but please don’t condone the driving. It is disgraceful, embarrassing and damaging to the reputation of genuine professional drivers who seem to be a dying breed these days.

Thank you Janos. Nice to know some others live in the real world and don’t only see things from one side.

To be fair Jake, there have been plenty of comments on here criticising the lorries. But I think you’re missing the point. You cant go round riding like a plank and then moan that everyone else is driving like a plank. Ultimately, the cyclist is as responsible for their own safety as everyone else

I ain’t missing no point Nite Owl. The point is it does not matter how much of a plank any cyclist is nobody has the right to drive aggressively towards them.
Just because the cyclist is a complete moron who disregards his own safety WE as professional drivers have duty to keep him as safe as humanley possible as do all drivers.
Now, I have had enough on this matter and most others. TaTa.
