So now it starts

A few weeks ago I was fuelling up just off Junc 11, M6 at M6 fuels. A guy in a dodgy transit pickup (say no more cough) pulled up at the side of me and said in an Irish accent (or similar) “I’ll give you a tenner if you fill my drum.” I looked at him and said “Hang on, there are cameras everywhere, I’m here every evening, it’s daylight, my lorry is covered in the name of the company I work for, do I look stupid enough to get sacked for a tenner, now go away (word censor on this site!)”. He got in his van and drove away.

We are instructed to lock fuel caps but if someone is carrying a crowbar to remove them it won’t matter.

I wonder how long until there’s a demand for kevlar-lined double-skinned tanks to prevent piercing, and forcing any syphon tubes into an empty cavity?

Story I heard last week that got the police interested albeit for the wrong reasons

some of you have probably heard it as it hit the news

apparently a thief broke into a yard belonging to a recovery firm in Preston Lancs, the owners caught him, strung him up on a HIAB then beat him with baseball bats.

The owners have been done for it.

I spoke to a copper the other day about my missing fuel and he said the best way to get your own back on a thief is to let the dog get them, apparently the courts allow the dog one attack in his life.

My 16 yr old daughter was attacked by a thief last week and she received a nasty bruise on her chin where he thumped her and got away, pity was the dogs were with me at the yard, they stay with her now (lets see him try it now)
