So how much did you save in covid

All the people that were furloughed saying how much they’d saved being furloughed.
Guess what me saved bugger all but kept these people able to get a bottle of gin, a new patio set.

Bugged me for months, there sitting on there arse I’m sweating mine off.
Sorry is a rant
Only therapy I can afford

Just the beer money,really.
Nothing else has changed.

62 posts in 7 days. Did you deliver any socks during lock down?

Exactly nothing changed for us

No idea how you couldn’t save anything over the last 15 months.

Ergh I worked with nolans
Apart from the money it was great old style trucking.
Breathe of fresh air
Never had a problem with them they never bothered me
Still be with them if money was better
Says a lot eh, you all think Nolans bad reputation.
Well it’s legal no frills,

I lost money because of DVLA taking five months to renew my HGV licence which was a bit of a PITA at the time although I’ve caught up now. I don’t have a mortgage or pay rent and my outgoings are pretty minimal so I just moved into “survival mode” and waited for the hard times to pass. It’s all you can do really.

Bugger just booked a medical tonight licence runs out 4th August, van driving it is then
Variety spice of life

I saved tons of cash.
So far to date I have had a holiday to Antigua and a holiday to USA cancelled and refunded. That was 7 grand back into my savings account.

Somewhere between £20k and £40k

About 15k-20, More than doubled mortgage repayment, 2 less foreign holidays past 18 mth, 2 less UK breaksz about 1800 less pints of guiness

Nice to save but I’d still have taken old life any day. Not having holidays to look forward to when your on a Manchester to Milton Keynes trunk run on a grey Tuesday morning is killing me

Didn’t have to buy a round for all my mates on my birthday.

Must’ve saved ten bob or so.

Very little, never took much notice of the farce after the initial month when the picture cleared to what was going on.
For many of us our work routines changed not one bit so no change to commuting costs, maybe saved a few quid on Greggs’ when they shut up shop for a while during the summer of mass hysteria.

I save 52 weeks a year , every year , always have done

I was on furlough for about 10 weeks I think it was, just at the very beginning of all this crap,.and I loved it.
We normally have had a fortnight abroad,.and maybe 3weekends away in this country between then and now, but with the ■■■■ lockdown where life stopped still : :unamused: , I’ve saved on that for starters.
But…I got a garden bar built, and the wife wanted a ‘summer house’ :unamused: , we’ve had a lot of enjoyment with them with BBQs etc, (and a new gas bbq) so did not maybe save as much as I would like,…and oh yeh :unamused: … my social life was on hold for a while which was a bit of a ■■■■■■■ but I must have saved a bit on staying in,.
So all in all swings and roundabouts,.saved a little, but not maybe as much as I could have…but who tf cares.

You’ll have saved on the party venue also eh?
Those old telephone boxes aren’t cheap.

Was saving well until the girlfriend told me we were getting married in August, 6 weeks to plan a wedding, saved on the cost of the wedding due to being limited to 30 guests and having the do at home, but that didn’t make the dress or rings any cheaper  but in the long run it saved a fortune getting married in lockdown and an ideal excuse for not inviting those relatives you’re not that keen on.

Nothing lost at least £25000.00 due to getting covid been of since december
not expected to go back to work until October at the earliest.
