Desperately need to get a coolbox…
Can’t decide whether to go for a 24v or a 12v…what’s the advantages of either?
I quite like te Waeco ones, but they are pricey…are they really worth the money?

Yes they are a good make, i used to have a 24/12 v so can also use it in the car if needed
12v use it in the car, then + get one of them plug things and you can load it up with beer in the summer and use it at home
Go for the Waeco one if you can afford it and 24v at that. What you have to remember is that a cool box is not a fridge and they usually only cool down to 20 degs below the ambiant temp so if your in a hot climate or hot cab with no air con then the coolbox could be only cooling down to say 10 deg. The Waeco ones are mostly a proper fride/freezer and will keep things cold no matter what the temp outside the box is.
Waeco CR-28 12/24volt. Ideal for in the car going to work on a Monday morning then into the cab for the week.
Don’t bother with the Halfords or Calorgaz efforts. The Waeco ones are a touch pricey and are at the CDC trailers for about £120.
And as nick2008 says use it at home on a convertor.
my little one was pretty good keeping stuff cold mind were talking uk work here
had a block of butter in there and come the end of the week it was still rock hard
waeco ive got the big size one in tropicool range …brilliant all I need to say cost 170 well worthy it
You can borrow my cool box, if you like. My DAF has a fridge so its redundant at the moment. Will bring it to the yard on monday, if your in. If not then I ll put it by my car for you to collect. Let me know either way.
