Aww bless. What a precious little snowflake. Then again having to do some actual work after tossing it off at uni comes as a shock to work shy people.
To be fair a very good and life long friend of mine, all she ever wanted was to be a primary school teacher, went to uni ect got her dream job, came home crying every night and absolutely hated it… Tbh it would be my nightmare, dunno how teachers but up with the crap tbh.

I think therein lies part of the problem, people go into jobs thinking it’s going to be cushy and or short hours. Instead of finding out the reality of a job first.
I would imagine most people who want to be teachers think it’s not bad money for little hours, having no idea that it’s not likely to just be school opening hours.
It cant be easy being a teacher, I drive a school bus and the kids are clearly in charge. The teachers simply cant touch the little zbs.
My wife has experienced it too, she is a primary school teacher, and has worked in secondary schools…the head master/mistress has their hands tied. In primary they pul her hair, kick her, spit etc etc…and you cannot even put a friendly hand on their shoulder…some mothers send their sprogs without being potty trained…teachers are assumed to be in charge of them and nurse them till home time…some have even brought nappies in to change little johnny
…id change him alright..ha ha ...they need an exclusion unless they can use a toilet..not being racist, but she tells me the black uns are the worst..we
ve all seen them in the supermarket throwing a tantrum, and mum ignoring them…not for me.
Being a teacher is a hard job, no doubt about it, but there is support available and people to turn to if your’e struggling.
most other industries just have to ■■■■ it up and get on with it.
Pay is on average a fair chunk lower then what we get and the hours are long, probably on average longer then a truck driver and they have to deal with kids all day.
I wouldn’t want to do it but surely he would of done a little research before investing 3 years of his life and tons of debt into teaching.
Edit: incase I get crap for saying teachers have longer hours; sitting in your bunk ■■■■■■■■■■■■ while waiting to be tipped doesn’t count as work.
I am guessing here,is it POA as you dont know how long it will take.A lot of good teachers are being lost just because its not worth putting up with the zb on a regular basis.

I quit teaching to drive lorries. I get paid more to do less hours AND when I go home, I leave work behind. Teaching as a profession needs a shot in the arm if it ever want to be an attractive proposition again.

Adult education is totally different.
■■■■■ sake lad it’s primary school kids. My wife is a secondary school teacher now there’s real pressure with trying to get GCSE and A level targets. And if he thinks a 6.30 finish is bad! Ha. Again I’ve seen my wife in school early, home late and working on marking or prep late into the evening.
Teaching is hard, the targets are dumb and the pay to low. But despite all that I have little sympathy with that guy.

Still qualified to the same level (actually higher in my case) with the same roles and responsibilities. I’ve actually mentioned on here before that I used to teach science in a secondary school. That’s where I got my PGCE.
If you care, which I doubt you do, I’ll tell you everything. If you don’t care, forget about it, but don’t dismiss my academic achievements which have taken me a lifetime to gain. That’s just rude.

But remember- UKTwit is a highly qualified refrigeration engineer, whatever qualifications you have, his will ALWAYS be better and he will make sure you know it

I have lectured in Hull University and hold qualifications that have taken me a lifetime to achieve. I have also lectured at North Lindsey college, bishop burton college and Hull college. I am stating facts, adult education is totally different to primary school teaching.
I swear every other thread is turning into a flame war.

Mate why are you still talking to me, just go away, you have nothing to say of any interest other than your silly comments. This is continuous and monotonous, and yes I am a highly qualified refrigeration engineer…Have you any idea what that even is or how difficult large scale refrigeration is? No of course you don’t and so why comment and spit out your useless drivel. Also you insulted gay drivers calling them queer, I am sorry but I want nothing to do with you any further.

Have you also noticed who the usual people are Adam? I cannot say anything without some nob coming on and turning every post into this. Captain Caveman has told everyone before that he used to teach in Hull prison and Hull college, I had no idea he taught in a secondary school, so I have made a perfectly legitimate comment of Adult education is totally different to a secondary school teacher, and it is,
