if pronav is the maplins one dont go near it. i returned 2 then got a tom tom. kept crashing and could go the whole day without picking up satellites. also when you type the postcode it just goes so if there is a mistake you dont know till you get there. the tom tom tells you the street name once you have typed in the post code so you can make sure its right.
Roymondo:
Thanks for the info re patching a TT x20 to use the TomTom truck maps. Sadly, I only have a Go510 (and a Tt One as emergency back-upwhich will not work with the TT truck software (as I understand it, at any rate).
I am familiar with TomTom products, and was really hoping to get some user opinions on the Snooper kit to make some sort of comparison.
if the 510 has a sd card slot it should be able to be done but im not the one who can do it. some guys on here have alot more know how than me so you would need to pm someone who can help
If I haf a tomtom 510 i’d definately try to upgrade to truck rather than buy another.
I believe it’s possible on the one xl and 510 but so far I haven’t been able to get xl working and haven’t tried a 510 yet.
I have got a snooper syrius proline . I only use it when i am going to some where new it is a good thing to have You enter height width and weight including axle weight’s and it will work out the best route, the features on these things are miles ahead of the competition. The Speed camera detector will show you the different types of cameras that are on your route and will warn of them with plenty of notice.you can also get map up dates when you register your snooper they will post you a update CD when it is time for you to update.
How does this work in relation to weight limits then ? does the route avoid them totally ? or does it ask if u wish to avoid them ie like a Toll bridge ? reason i ask is because in our job we deliver in many 7.5t limits but with delivery access - one of these would be no good to me if it were to divert me off the routes i’d never get anything delivered.

Simply set it up with vehicle at less than 7.5 tonnes. That way you still get the bridge and road width info.
Also has multi-route function allowing you to choose!

Hmm - that’s not a very good workaround, as it will ignore all weight restrictions on the route, whereas only the very last limit on the route can (legally) be exceeded. Is that “official” advice from the makers?
it all depends on how you set it up you have 4 different rout tipes which you can pick from its all up to you which one you go for
