hi lads thinking of buying a Snooper Truckmate Pro Sound DB8500

has any one got this??

never had a truck sat nav i know they could not be 100% perfect but are they better than the normal car sat nav?

First day with mine,upgraded from the S7000 can,t fault it so far,I like the fact I can hear it through the stereo,loads of TV stations,excellent so far ,I will let you know if I get any problems,cheers!!

can you update the map like a notmal car sat nav ?

they look good i have a car tomtom 1005 europe at the min but was unsure if it worth changing

I wouldn’t bother tbh , you can pick up a s7000 for £200 and the only real big difference is dab radio , they are £40 saving 200 quid

I am now on my second,in two weeks?both times within days the tv has frozen and cannot get of screen without shutting down,and when restarting same screen comes up,been in constant contact with snooper,and they say I am the only one that has had a problem ?waiting for a reply from manager.

well got my sat nav 12 hours ago and it f****d !!!

will no longer turn on … all im getting is a loading icon and wont turn on

Not fit for use? Get it returned and get a replacement!!

was sorted by snooper. i returned it to them and about 5 days later got it back working perfect.

ha i mean with the db8500 in general id have hoped you got yours replaced :wink:

Pump.You had a car sat nav driving a truck.If the police shut the road and you could not find a place to stop to check bridge heights and not know the area you could get in a pickle.
I am not sure why truck drivers use car sat navs and not a Lgv sat nav.They can do a multi route and Adr routing\weight limits.

So the diffrent beetwen Snooper S8000 and Snooper DB8500 is only Dab Stereo? I thinking to buy, but I’m not sure what is the diffrent. I did send a message with question to Snooper, but no one reply. Is worth pay 50 pound’s more or no?

My friend’s using S8000 and they happy, but I want buy and keep for a few year’s so I want buy the latest model.
