Theres been many a thread regarding the s2000 truckmate, but can anyone testify to its capabilities on the more rural routes in Italy where i’m about to embark with a new job?is it good at avoiding bridges and finding postcodes for example?some of the threads tend to get away from the cold hard facts and diversify into other issues.understandable and ok in itself but i’m a tad anxious after15 years away from euroland.I remember Naples giving me grief navigating the rabbit warren of backstreets i encountered really appreciate any feedback from snooper users.

when you get to Italy buy the best Italian atlas
it comes in a make up of three books one for
North Italy , centre of Italy and the third is the bottom
bit, they are expensive but well worth having
better than any bloody sat nav,

I’ve had a tom tom one europe for a few years now and found it worked well in Italy even in the more rural villages. A few places I would have really struggled if I hadnt had it. The maps in the previous post are excellent also but dont go down to street level.
