has anyone had any experience of these sat navs??i brought one the other day which was supposed to be the truckmate s7000 version but some of the instuctions and features are totally different!!confused of stoke!! 
I’ve got the s7000 and its a great device, it’s easy to use and will get you to your destination. Also has lane assist with it
my problem is on the box it says truckmate but the paper manual doesnt give any instruction on how to operate the tv or radio,but it does on the cd manual,also the feature it tells u to use to change from day to nite isnt on it.when u put the cd manual on the computer its the same as my book but says its for the syrius model!! if that makes any sense!lol

just got one myself … where did you get it from ? cos mine seems fine other than you have to register it to get speed camera wotsits …
hi,i got mine from cdc at dover truckstop on the a2.is urs a truckmate s7000?if so on the face does it say anything mine says snooper in the middle and s7000 to the right?cheers
i got to be honest i’m disapointed with my truckmate , the amount of time i’ve spent trying to update software has ■■■■■■me off no end , you would have though it would have come pre loaded with speed cam data would’nt you ■■but no i got to spend hours loading crap from the web site to make it work … i go back to my previous comment , if i did’nt need one i would’nt have one … 
long live maps and pencils … god dam techy stuff does my head in…
yours must have been horribly out of dat eif you spent hours doing it, i spent 5 mins downloading the speed cameras and thats all the updating ive done on mines and its a good bit of kit, still not a direct replacement for maps or local knowledge
as you can see it is well laid out
i think ive got the problem sorted by another member,(rokeen) thanks, : the probs i had he had with his and had checked em out with snooper ,the problem is that some of the instuctions in the booklet aint in the sat nav!bit like havin a table from mfi with insructions for a wardrobe!lol

dont think it was out of date , it took two days for them to register it and it wont update till they do … it seems fine now . it dont help that i’m new to satnav and i finding it a bit complicated for now … i repeat if i did’nt need one i would,nt have one …
by the way , have you tried the t.v ■■i sat in the middle of manchester on friday watching sky news on my break , good stuff it is …
Yea if your new it might be a bit new to sat nab, I mean if I didn’t need it I wouldn’t have it either, but yea the tv is brilliant, I’ve only had foreign channels cause I’ve never used mine here lol, it’s the size and the tv that attracted me to it over the Tom Tom truck one which is still good but mines routes better than the Tom tom
i was having problems with mine due to not having used one before , and the fact i’m old and not used to this kind of stuff 
anyway , i’v found the reason why i was having problems with it and it was very simple . it needed the software updating 
which included map updates and software version update and now it works fine … i’m still not 100% trusting of it and i still carry my maps and a/z’s around but i’m getting there with it . i’v also got to say i’m quite impressed with what it can do .
i.e … the other night i was sent on a job and one of the other drivers warned me of a couple of low bridges that our wagons can just get under with a couple of inches to spare . i used this info to test my snooper and set my truck height over what the bridges are , and it took me around them and did’nt even bother mentioning them … very impressive
i still find this kind of gear confusing but thats my fault not thiers …

How the â– â– â– â– do you set the time on this s7000 pretty dissapointed with it got it today its a bit tacky and you have to download the cameras my oppinion not as good as a tomtom, also everytime i try to download the update it fails wtf fed up with it, mainly interested in setting the time on it any help manual is a load of â– â– â– â–
