Snooper s5000 or tom tom

Will have to pick one of these up soon , just wandering which one would be the best an wheres best place to get one from ? any advice will be appreciated ,

Thanks fellow members

I used to be pro TomTom. Then bought a Snooper S7000 and wouldn’t go back.

At the end of the day, any decent truck specific satnav will have routing errors no matter how good. It should be used in conjunction with common sense !!

None of the above … buy a national road atlas and a few city street maps and save your self a few hundred quid. If you want to be a professional lorry driver don’t rely on toys to find places, how do you think we managed before such crap was invented ?

From that reply i guess you do the same run every day , as most of us know if you have one of the above an theres a big traffic jam which happened to me a few times last week one of the sat navs with real time will divert you around   the difference being night out night home //

What a pointless post!

We invented things to help us! Like the light bulb, ever used one before? Why would you… Candles work ok. Why email if fax works? I think you get my drift.

I use a sat nav and carry a truckers atlas, I also use printed maps of a destination, I use both and get along just great, with a map alone you can find yourself distracted in busy areas, but with a sat nav you only need to glance and listen, with your hands still on the wheel, much safer!

Yup a street atlas for every town in the UK. Oh yes I nearly forgot and a forklift to put them in your cab :unamused:
