No this is not aimed at the drivers that drive around looking like they’ve just licked a ■■■■■■ on nettle, it’s a little advice regarding the helpful general public. One of our drivers got pulled into see the transport manager, he was overtaken on the A1 and then his picture was taken from the other vehicle, his picture was then emailed to head office with a note alleging that he drifted into lane two as cars were passing him. So don’t forget to smile and brush your hair as you never know !!

FFS just how bad is it getting? Not only do we have every wannabe cop with an iphone videoing every single infraction and getting a hard on while sending it to the police or your company,we also have companies who will pull you in based on Joe publics say so. For drifting into the other lane? its hardly death penalty material. I wonder if the perfect drivers taking the pictures have never ever done anything wrong by accident? Doubt it
My old company wernt the best payers (in fact you’d be hard pushed to find anyone worse) but if anyone called to moan about minor stuff they got told where they could go.
I once got accused of knocking a cyclist off , the all around camera’s soon paid that guy a lesson – sore head learn some road sense

I was photographed by an angry tourist in Blenheim Palace on Wednesday. Nothing wrong with my driving and they weren’t lorry spotters, it was that I’d photobombed a lovely group photo. I think they wanted the palace in the background, not a Daf 8wheeler loaded with road planings.

Nope it seems he did not go through a red light or do anything else wrong. Just the motorist doing what a lot of motorists do.
NOT CONCENTRATING ON THEIR DRIVING.
And we wonder why there is so much carnage on our roads!
And before you start I know cyclists are no saints but some motorists really need to get a grip.
Unless I am missing something, haven’t lots of vehicles had those ‘How is my driving’ stickers with a phone number on them for many years now? Whilst not on every truck (obviously) doesn’t give it the perception to the general public that they should comment on a commercial drivers misdemeanors full stop? The cameras are just modern technology, but those blasted stickers started it all off.
As regards the woman eating a bowl of cereal, that is just sheer stupidity. Either leave it at home, or eat it before you go. Not that keen on cyclists, but should imagine they get quite tetchy by the near misses with inattentive drivers.
Cyclist should have smacked the window real hard with the flat of his hand, hopefully making her drop her ■■■■■■■ breakfast all over herself… prat!

Its got to the point where I now regularly tap my truck reg into google / youtube / porntube etc to see if I have been caught doing any of my usual shenanigans.
At any given time I can be found, smoking my vape ciggy, drinking tea, snacking, preparing dinner, changing battery on vape ciggy etc. All with my left hand whilst not taking my eyes off the road.

I think I made it sound like he got a telling off, but he didn’t, the gaffer just wanted him to know what had happened and to be fair to him he was far from concerned with the whole matter.
