Ever been in a submarine where its baking hot 24/7 …with 98 guys who have all had curry the night before and one little shower, that you are allowed to use for less than 2 minutes… for months on end…then the power supply packs up, the Heads spew back, and the guy in the bunk that you have just taken over from has been…enjoying himself.
Think about it… driving is a dirty grimy business…deal with it…it could be worse.
You would still be able to get washed before the week is out, As a soldier you are shown how to wash using a mess tin full of water,…
Being a truck driver does not exempt you from washing, there are plenty of facilities, were you can wash, if you are not confident washing around others of the same ■■■, use a bowl with soap and water were its quite,.

Oh really? And you come onto a drivers site to tell us who actually do the job that driving is a dirty grimy business. Not only have you never actually sat in a truck in your life but you certainly have never been on a submarine either. Armed forces personnel are inherently well groomed and personal hygiene is top of the list.

Yes I have actually a nuclear powered hunter killer class in fact, though in all honesty it was dry docked in Plymouth as it was in for a refit, why was I on it? Because my eldest Brother was CPO aboard it and we were invited for a family day out, so anyway my point being is I’ll be sure to pass your post on to my Brother (long since retired) as he’ll no doubt enjoy laughing his ■■■■ off at your completely retarded statement.

It was the HMSM Swiftsure for anyone wondering.
Well I think that wraps that one up quite nicely. Perhaps the MOD ought to really look into putting in another shower when they design nuclear submarines, possibly one that lasts a little longer than 2 minuets at a time.

I suspect your brother will tell you that it was HMS Swiftsure not HMSM. It is also likely that he will tell you that that boat was decommissioned 20 years ago. If he thinks my description of life on a submarine is ‘retarded’ then I would suggest he has never been nearer the sea than an Eastbourne whelk. Ask him and you will hear him tell you that not only is my retarded statement accurate but if anything is understated. Go for it !

Okay…it’s ‘minutes’ …not 'minuets '. The reason that they are not allowed anything more than a 2 minute shower is that when the fresh water is released it leaves a signature in the salt water of the ocean. As an expert regrigerator consultant you should have known this.

Children playtime is over, can we go back to class, and get on with lessons nicely.
This particular subject really annoys me. Over the many years driving just about everywhere in the northern hemisphere I have met thousands of fellow drivers and the ones who really disgust me are those who do not keep clean, I am obsessive about such things, I am often in a toilet and washing my hands after doing what was needed, I observe those who just walk out without washing their hand, I then make sure I use a tissue or even the sleeve of my clothing to open the door to go out. I work for a company that hauls food products and I don’t mind in the least having a go at fellow workers who are not clean when handling the equipment. Part of our job involves sterilizing hoses that carry liquid sugar through and in the area outside the tank wash there are wild Canadian geese, their droppings are everywhere and when washing hoses out one rule is to never let the open end of hoses touch the ground or any unclean area, I have seen guys drag the hoses through the goose poop and asked “Do you know what that green stuff is ?”
“No”
“Well it’s goose st so how many kids do you want to kill this week ?"
Our manager who is not shy about telling it like it is took on a new driver last year and we noticed the guy never showered or washed, he walked unto the managers office who shouted at him "GET THE FK OUT OF THIS OFFICE UNTIL YOU HAVE SHOWERED” and then threw a towel and a bottle of shower gel at him pointing to the showers LOL.

Your’e digging yourself a deeper hole, I have worked on many, many refrigerated sea going systems. For example Air conditioning fed by sea water is filtered. We didn’t have it run for a max of 2 mins. My own company used to service and install these large systems on North sea ferry’s, Off shore installations, MOD work too. I think your done now don’t you? any pics to post?

Not going to continue arguing with you as I know I can prove and substantiate my statements and that’s good enough for me, not sure what your endgame is and I really don’t care, good day.

The other party doesn’t have a endgame, just a continuous game of baiting users,

Yes, you are right and you have my apologies if I have offended you. The reasons that you had your own company with an MOD contract servicing the sailing vessels of the UK waters which subsequently failed resulting you in being an ( alleged) hgv driver are private. I won’t pursue the matter.

Please don’t go there. my business is still ongoing, I have not failed by being a lorry driver, I could explain but you wouldn’t understand. I actually sold my thriving business out and left myself a much smaller concern which I still to this very day partake in the odd job. Pass me a gun I will shoot your foot for you. Oh and no you haven’t offended me in the slightest, how on earth could you.
This topic is very funny to me, as my core business is hygiene
I have to say that lorry drivers are, in my experience the dirtiest of humans I have ever experienced…They truly do defy logic when it comes to personal hygiene.
Those who have left their lorries dirty for me to drive, have been subject to juju…It works 100%

Will you still be pursuing your smaller concerns when your tickets expire later this month?
