I can vouch for the Belgians being a shower of flat cap.
I left 3 weeks ago and got a nice little note from one of the girls in the office wishing me a happy christmas and new year. accompanied by a bill for the ferry I came home on as foot passenger.
I have never dumped a truck in my life, but Im beginning to wish I had had left the keys in the bottom of the dock.
hitch:
anyone help with info on what their called ta
It might not be that simple hitch, because in the UK, an action for non-payment of wages might be heard in an Employment Tribunal.
The approximate equivalent in Holland is “Arbeidsgericht,” whilst Germany has the “Arbeitsgericht.”
Then there is the question of jurisdiction.
Different types of Courts are convened to look at certain parts of the law, so I’d advise you to try the words I’ve given as a starting point. As has been pointed out, you’ll probably need a lawyer in the country concerned.
Then of course, there’s the question of language, because Courts will usually only operate in the official language of the country concerned.
Just because we have a small claims Court here, doesn’t always mean that other countries do the same.
The same is true of languages. Just because we have a word for something doesn’t mean that a foreign language has a directly equivalent word. Yes, something can be translated, but the translation might have significantly more, or fewer, words than the original.
I’ve only posted this in case you’ve started off by barking up the wrong tree, and I hope it helps.
