Anyone seen a transit barrier wagon that regularly dawdles down the A420 from the Kingston Bagpuize bypass, flashing beacons on towards Faringdon? Never goes above about 35mph and never pulls in until it gets to a layby near the A417 roundabout. Has three blokes sat in it.
Anyone know what they’re likely to be doing? I’ve followed and passed them in the opposite direction and they’re not holding back traffic for any reason. Could they be training for the full size barrier trucks? PITA really as nobody seems to have the guts to overtake them.
They might be filming the road surface for surveying purposes
Is it the covered transit with a coweling on the back . .
If so its a survey vehicle . There’s one that runs up and down the A4174 ring road between the Puckelchurch ans Syston roundabouts that particular bit is used for setting the equipment up
No it’s not a surveying vehicle. Just a dropside transit with the typical sign setup that barrier trucks have. More annoying than them ■■■■■■■ about are the do gooding window lickers following that think it’s illegal to pass them. Probably the same people that wont overtake an abnormal load because they have an ■■■■■■ vehicle with flashing lights.
In that case. Killing time
