A lorry driver charged after three people were fatally injured in a crash has been remanded in custody.

Juraj Orsula, 45, from Slovakia, is accused of causing death by dangerous driving and three counts of causing injury by dangerous driving on the M26 in Kent last April.

A 54-year-old French man died several days after the crash. His daughters, aged 22 and 16, died at the scene.

Mr Orsula appeared before Maidstone Crown Court earlier.

He was told that he could not return to Slovakia and remanded in custody.

The five-vehicle crash happened on the London-bound carriageway of the M26, near Kemsing, on 16 April.

It involved two lorries, a van, a Nissan car and a Mini.

He didn’t leave the country was given bail to live with his son in Ely .Bail only revoked because the adress his son had is no longer available to him . In fairness to him he had turned up for every hearing on time and under his own steam . He was quite happy to work in the UK but after his last bit of driving the police (quite rightly) opposed that
