Slovakia - info point

After being reminded by somebody on this forum (inselafe?) that there’s no web page with a summary on driving regs in Slovakia I browsed the web a bit and found few, but non as entire and consistent as one would wish. Let alone containing lorry-relating specifics… And not to mention availability of the content in languages other than Slovak.

So I went on to create such a page:
sites.google.com/site/profidriverinfopointsk/

That’s what I managed to do over last weekend. I still have to work on graphics side of things, I will also add some more content, but the core info should already be there (I think). Yes, there are typos, not everything is 100% rightly worded, links to sources missing etc., but anyway:

Would you be so kind and spent 5min of your time reading that page and making comments? Positive or negative, everything counts.

Once the English version is completed to satisfactory level I’ll work on other language (German perhaps?).
Later I may add another country, something from the east with similar lack of one-stop info shop. But that’s still long way to go, for that I’ll have to sort out proper webhosting (with everything that comes with it).

Looking forward to hear from you soon

Nice one, fella

Might I suggest adding the link to the Euro Drivers Info Point sticky so it doesn’t get lost?
Having somewhere like this to go for all relevant information from someone who obviously has knowledge of the country involved, is invaluable.

When I went to Slovakia for the first time earlier this year it took me a while of trawling the net to get some pretty basic information which undoubtedly saved me from having my wallet considerably lightened along the way (eg: the bloody overtaking ban :imp: ).

So, thanks for taking the time and effort to condense all the info into one place.

Feel free to neglect the garden and general housework in favour of producing more of the same for those other wacky eastern European countries

:open_mouth: I’m sure I posted something along these lines last night, although not as well said.
I wasn’t inebriated either, so it can’t have been that old excuse  .

When you’re ready HomoFaber, let me know and I’ll put a link into the main page of the Euro Info sticky.
Your site looks like it’s just what’s needed. All the essential information that a truck (or bus) driver needs to know about a countries transport rules, especially the odd, quirky ones.
It’s what I’m trying to construct in the Euro Info post, for the whole of Europe.
A place to go, where the majority of the work has been done, for you to get the info you need.
