Slack period

Is it just me and my area? Or is the work slack all over at the minute?

I rang a couple of agencies this afternoon, but all of them said that the work was ad hoc and most likely I would end up with a couple of days work here and there. No good to me! Can’t run a house on that!

Don’t know about all agencies, but we struggle to get anyone on agency in East Midlands on pallet work although it might be because they need ADR.

What area are you in as it can vary drastically?

Lanarkshire, Scotland. Could work every day of week if possible.

I’m not too far from you, I live in Ashby-de-la-Zouch. The agencies I rang were burton and Leicester area. I don’t suppose it’s breaking any rules because I’m not slagging anyone off, just stating a fact that they are quiet. Personnel solutions at burton (loads of jobs advertised on indeed, no work when you ring up and register) and driver hire Leicester. A couple of others in Leicester as well. And eclipse in Nottingham, also qs Recruitment (Leicester and Nottingham)

My disappointment at this topic not being about Kerry Katona and her menstrual cycle is palpable…

Must be a bit quiet in the West Midlands area also as I must get at least 4 calls a day off agencies offering me drivers.

Try lgloo 01455891358 they were quite good when I used to work for them. Agency for Tesco Hinckley I heard is busy if you willing to work weekends, you have to do abit of digging to find out which agency it is

Get a job with a French company. :sunglasses:

We’re rushed off our feet getting stuff to the UK before the deadline day ( whatever day or month or even year that may be )

Funny, I got my P45 from them last week because the last time I worked/had been offered work from them was over 12 weeks ago so they automatically sent it to me…
