I remember when it first started no one spoke to anyone else any differently to how they would in person. It was all very polite . I think it’s just the way online stuff has gone, Facebook, twitter etc. Anything seems to go once you get behind a keyboard these days.

To be fair mate,.and to keep things in perspective, I don’t think Wheelnut’s comments were as offensive as you say.
There have definitely been far worse on here.
For instance I had one ■■■■ whit on here telling me he was going to …quote; ‘‘Bounce my head off a pavement’’ ffs, I think WN’s comment falls into mediocrity in comparison to something like that.
Also for the record I think your retort to Luke was also a bit uncalled for, childish and definitely over the top…just saying.

Ralph Davies do but I don’t think it’s to the same extent that they used to.

If you’re still thinking about going over the water, as suggested above, give Ralph Davies a shout. Much better kit, better money (it was good when I drove for him) and you get to wander around knowing you’re an MIB.
I have only done a couple of trips in the last 6 months and the people I saw out there include:

N.S Clarke (In the line up at Calais so don’t know how far into EU)
Turners Soham tankers (Saw 5-6 of them in convoy leaving Calais)

A few Irish + N.Irish companies as well. Some like Caffrey international had foreign plates though and the two parked in the truck stop I was in outside Budapest were not Irish drivers, think they were Romanian.

If man say to beaver that 80 english pound go in pocket for work saturday, he laugh so much that wee come out of willy and make trouser wet.

WOW! Someone certainly confused something written in my post. I have never worked for S&K but have run alongside their drivers for many years. I said the OP that asked about could do worse. The ■■■■ waving comment was aimed at those trying to hijack the thread about wages. I have never been all flash and low cash. I was given a chance to go over the channel 40 years ago and gave up through ill health
