Sin Bin

Got put in the sin bin today at Iceland Swindon; arrived 15 mins early for my booking, presented my paperwork at the hatch to the gnome lady with a cheery ‘good afternoon’. She completely ignored my greeting which puts my hackles straight up. I then retorted 'obviously it isn’t then is it?" She then barked at me that it is a no smoking site. I asked what her point was to which she said she could smell smoke on me.

Because I’m heartily fed up with ignorant desk clerks I bit back with 'I came through your gate 30 seconds ago after finishing a ■■■. Is that ok with you Mum?" She then snarled something unintelligible to me and I enquired which part of Salem she originally came from, I thought that would go over her head, but oh no, she got it!

She then told me I was in the sin bin. I did consider telling her that was ok as I was on overtime whilst she was on minimum wage, but decided to quit whilst ahead.

Upshot was three and a half hours for six frozen pallets, but hey ho, 3g signal in the “hospitality suite” so I caught up on Trucknet and got paid for it too.

I always make a point at being polite to the goods in clerk/bods and generally but not always they are polite in return but there are a few exceptions to the rule.

You need to try some of those sites up in Scotland. Morrisons Bellshill have the most ignorant, arrogant brain dead clerks I have ever had the misfortune to meet. They need to leave the jobs and get to Morrisons and buy a new life.
I just dont get it, whats wrong with these people?

Shouldn"t have really , but i actually laughed out load after reading the OP

I used to shunt there and she was like that with us. Moaned about us getting a coffee in goods in saying we should go to the transport side!
Don’t miss her in the slightest!! lol

She was obviously at the back of the line when they handed manners and personality out. What a horrible person she is.

Walking straight round to reception and making complaints to shift managers are usually good for sorting out people like her. Done it a couple of times in the past at various places with outright rude goods in staff.

I just say to them sorts "i dont want to talk to you ,i want to talk"about "you !!! with your boss

Excellent drills cant fault you at all

Is frozen different to chill at iceland Swindon then as the chill side you have to stay in your cab. They even come to the cab to get your notes and keys then bring them back to you when tipped.

Hey Mr Maoster, prehaps you should have told her “I’m weekended in Swindon how about us going out for a good time?” tipped double quick I suspect, glad I do’nt do RDC work I feel sorry for you guys :exclamation:

Yea, there is a drivers room for frozen, but you get the smoking shelter at chill! lol

Must be in the water down there, Scary Mary at B&Q was in fine form today. I think I upset her more when I told her to secure my keys rather than leaving them on the desk.

Nope, DHL at Papworth have that ‘honour’.

Broke down on the bay there once for 9hours, !!! Wasn’t I just the flavour of the month! Having said that I don’t remember them tipping and checking in less than 2/ 3 hours so wasn’t that much difference lol

Both wrong it’s NISA at Scunthorpe night shift.

ha i was there thurs as well, she really was in a bad mood as nearlly all the lads coming in to deliver had a moan about her. i cant undersand as lorry drivers we get rammed down our throat is ’ how to conduct and present yourself in a professional manner at a customers premises… well i think that DHL should give the goods in clerks a bloody good lesson in how to conduct themselves, her attitude stinks. yes we do get ■■■■■■ off and moan when we’re there only because of the messing about and attitude of the goods in clerks>> and as for this sin bin crap!!! please we are adults not school boys (and girls) waiting to be told off by the headmaster…

and not once above have I seen a poster saying that they are contacting management at this place.

It will only take a couple to put it in writing to the top bod and she will soon be sorted.

But there again, its easier to whinge/whine on a forum than do something about it isnt it.
