any body know the best way to get to Simms metal Birchwood lane Alfreton. Got to get a container loaded there on Monday and there is a 7.5 ton limit from the village. I’ll be coming down the A38.
You need the other end of birchwood lane which is 1st junction on A38 next to M1 but only has access from westbound carriageway

You can actually get off the A38 eastbound too, off at the last junction before the M1 up to the top turn right over the A38 follow the road out for about a mile over a railway bridge just before the weight limit the road goes round too the left turning on the right you turn down there and into Sims, Westbound A38 off at the first junction down too mini roundabout turn left upto t junction turn right then carry on as i’ve said.
As tango boy has said. No problems getting to it from the A38, go in and out that way. Do not try from Somercotes B600.
