Help please. One of the drivers keeps on leaving the tacho set to some EE language - Bulgarian I think. I need simple up, down, left right instructions on how to reset the language to English please. Since not only is it in a language I can’t understand it is all in cryllic characters - so a complete lot of meaningless mumbo jumbo. This means that I won’t know what it is even set at to begin with so I am totally lost. Hopefully down twice, left once , down again… or something like that will make it appear in something intelligible.
How about asking a Bulgarian?

Stick your card in and it should automatically change back to your licence country aka UK.
Siemens vdo tacho will or should change to the default language for the card inserted.

This.
Thank you. I should have said however that I don’t want to put my card in because I shall be driving out of scope.

Havent got my keys at moment and can’t see anything in menu to change language currently. Unless ignition is required. I’ve always stuck my card in to change it automatically when it’s been changed.
Press the following keys
Up once
Up again
Ok
Then there are 29 different languages.
If you can read any of them you want to press the down key until you get to German aka Spraka Deutsch then once more to some gliphics then once more and OK for English.
That’s the best I can explain it. Just checked user manual and tried it on mine.
Thank you very much for that Simcor. It’ll be a 10 am before I get on site today so I’ll come back this evening to say how I got on, but that seems to ring a bell from the last time I had to do it …in August I think.

Just put your card it it’ll automatically change to English or whatever country your card was issued in . We have it all the time .

Insert card. Language will change automatically. Eject card. Language will remain set to English until the next time a non-English card is inserted.

Op was told to put card in and it would automatically change.
OP has stated he won’t be putting card in because he is driving out of scope so wanted to know how to change it manually.

Which is why I suggested OP insert his card and then eject it again. That way the tacho will automatically change to his preferred language without needing to blindly navigate menus displayed in Cyrillic text

I agree but he has stayed he isn’t putting his card in so choice is up to him.
Up,up, OK, Down, down, down until English shows then OK. It worked 1st time thank you. Then once in English, vehicle menu and select OUT(of scope) OK. (Siemens)
I don’t like to put the card in to clear it unless I have to, because I assume it will leave a record of whose card was entered on the vehicle log. This way I don’t have to keep a record of all my hours for the week of which none of the rest will normally be driving. I usually take a vehicle print-out for the day to keep. If it is an in scope day then I keep a diary for the week or fill in analogue charts manually.
