Shutning WTD

I might be doing some shunting for a couple of months never done it before do these tugs have Digi Cards ?
I’l be doing 12 hour nights if they don’t have digi card’s do I add 8 hrs to my Working Time like when you are on annual leave ?
If they do have them I won’t need to worry.

shunter’s do not have tacho’s fitted, if you are doing NO other driving under e.u. regulations for that week/weeks then you are exempt from all wtd regulations and tacho regs :sunglasses: :sunglasses: :sunglasses: :sunglasses:

Shunting with a tug = normal WTD
Driving under EU regs = RTD
Neither counts towards the other for working time regs

The shunting will count as other work for the tacho regs if any EU regs driving was also done in the same fixed week

Calling the TN spelling police …

Most tugs don’t have taco’s, but if for some reason yours dose and your working in the yard only (not going on the road!) your “OUT OF SCOPE” . Go to vehicle entry and put the unit “OUT OF SCOPE”, you can then work your 12 hours shift :grimacing:

If its in the yard and not on tacho then do as many hours as you wish, after all who will know?

If your in the yard, no tacho and work as long/short as you want, after all, a forklift dont leave the yard and when did you see one of those with a tacho! Forkie loads em, you move em, whats the difference.

Thanks for your replays always learning something we in this job
