Would somebody please give me a link to the regulations governing shunters.
My mate has been driving for the same firm he shunts for on his days off.
Ive read, and hes been told this is not a problem but he`d like it in black and white.

If he is driving for them under EC regulations then it is those he needs to worry about. The main question would be is he getting the required weekly rest? Just because he isn’t out on the road for them on the days he is shunting it will still count as other work for the tacho rules and those days will not count toward weekly rest.
He works four on-four off neil. He works 1or 2 days driving. This isn`t every week i must add.

I suppose the only true way to help would be to list the exact shift/driving days & times over, say, a 4 week period…
