Hilarious observation. We have 4 regular shunters and literally all 4 of them wear baseball caps. 
They all smoke too.
I turned down a job shunting, it paid well but I earn more for doing less work as an “Agency Muppet”.
The job was non-stop, oh and it is in a road unit.
