Do most service stations have shower rooms or facilities for getting a bit of a clean up?
Yep, can either be located in the actual toilet area. You will usually need a key in that environment to get into them and be prepared to leave a cash deposit or lorry keys are usually accepted, the person handing the keys will tell you what they prefer.
Some services have them separate to the toilets and these maybe permanently open or again on a key system like above.
Best bet to find out where they are located. Head to the 24 hour convenience shop usually W H Smith’s and ask there, as they always seem to have the keys, hold your deposit and they also know where the showers are etc.
Be prepared for most service’s showers will not be clean to most people’s standards, which is a shame as its our facilities to share. 
But that’s another whole forum on that subject alone!

Cheers for that mate. Makes it all a bit easier to stay cleaner whenever possible. Can’t bear the thought of not getting a proper wash at least once a day.
Take a decent pair of flip flops as well. Never know what people get up to in them
Agree on the flip flops to prevent Athletes foot infections, and some people urinate and do number twos in the showers.
I’m obviously insane I don’t wear flip flops…
But rarely night out, so don’t hear about these horror stories.

Also most truck stop have them in but may charge

The missus actually bought me some flip flops yesterday so that’s me safe from any fungal problems the mucky buggers spread about.
