Rather than have one on the ferry, for £1.60,there are large cubicles in the terminal, hand in the keys to the staff in the newsagents shop in any of the tourist buildings, this gives you time to not rush a meal on board, and on the older ships, the cubicles are small, and you may have to wait your turn, not sure about the new ship, may be Mr Switch will advise on that.
why spend money?

however, you have to clear the crap out of the plughole.
I think there is something like 25 shower cubicles on the new boat so you never need to wait

It is a shame the old Rouitiers in Calais is shut.Cherbourg also have drivers showers.
It seems that at virtually every single factory in Belgium there is a spotlessly maintained shower for drivers to use free of charge.
