I had the misfortune of using the shower at the BP fuel place last week.
I’m used to truckstop/services showers being crap.
But, jesus christ on a bike!
I stupidly paid £2:50 for a key, as it was unlocked.
I have a pair of crocs to avoid treading in the detritus, but I didn’t want to touch the walls.
I complained to the guy behind the counter in the shop.
His answer was the building was old.
Are there any alternative’s?
I use Orwell Crossing truck stop really good showers, clean and hot…

The showers at Orwell were good and probly still are but I have not had one there since the place changed hands as if you are not parking the night they charge you a parking fee of £6 to use the shower unless things have changed

Well everyday I see a school day. I never knew there was a shower at that garage. But having seen the state of those toilets, not sure i would want to use it anyway. Stopped once for a shower at Orwell since it’s been taken over. £6 for a shower. Thieving barsteward. Apparently he couldnt make any money when he was only charging £2ish for a shower. Funny how Risby and Bury truckstop can make it pay.
I have heard of drivers using the showers in the leisure centre on the sea front, but never been down that way to see if you can or not.
