I think last time I used Golden Fleece I had to pay ,Annandale was a good free shower room last time although I think I used the women’s ,men’s was out of order .
Teebay services , used it a couple of weeks ago early pm , good shower very clean 
Did get some odd looks as it in the corridor into the ladies loos

Just out of curiosity, how much on average do they charge for showers now over there ?
In the good old USA we either get totally ripped off or they are free, if we use Pilot or TA truck stops and buy 50 gallons they are free, if we want to pay they are about $14.00

Lesmahagow charge £3. Carnforth £2.50.ecclefechan.£1.50… all free if parking of course…

Pay for a shower tight arse! I’m more than happy to pay for a good clean shower as it doesn’t magically clean itself or make its own hot water! I wouldn’t expect places to provide me with free food and coffee so (unless I’m paying to park) why should I expect them to provide free showers?

Money is not the issue my friend just no point paying when certain stops provide it free. Trust me I can afford even the 3 quid at Lesmahagow even though that is stupidly high.

I’ve got a decent grasp of decent showers and down right ■■■■ holes, happy to pay £3 for a nice clean hot shower any day and anyone who isn’t leaves me speechless

You posted on a forum, you know, a place where advice, insults, opinions etc are passed around. If you can’t take the rough with the smooth then perhaps you’ll be better off sticking to dungeons and dragons or whatever you crazy kids get up to nowadays.
If money isn’t an issue why not post something like “Fancy a shower en route, any of you guys have any recommendations?” Simple really.

The night out expense is to cover things like a shower, then means st wasting 3 quid on a decent one in favour of a free one ffs.
