Show us your road car

As I finally have something which isn’t a complete embarrassment, its time to test a theory. That goes something like, the bigger the truck, the smaller the road car.

I have lived up to it with this:

which is mated to a Globetrotter XL.

What’s yours?

my nephew works for V’hall . when that came out I wasn’t too keen on it but that in white looks tidy, I might have to rethink about it

Good motors Vauxhalls. Three of mine which I bought new in 89, 92, and 98, all good vehicles with 20.i engines which would fly.

Its a good little car. Of course I am still in the honeymoon period but its got a great spec for the money, especially with partners. Alloys, bluetooth, DAB, cruise, speed limiter, aircon and mats all standard. All I paid for was the white, (which is a cost option despite being the same color that comes free on the Astra and Agila) and the Urban pack, the chrome around the windows and the LED running lights and tail lights.

As for the rest of you gents, you appear to have debunked my theory that big trucker means tiny car.

I’ve had V halls last few years mainly due to the nephew and to be honest the build quality never much of a problem even with the engines

Three of mine from the last few years. These are all tiny cars - 602cc engines and made largely of tinfoil - but I have to admit to also having owned a Series 2a Land Rover and a Daihatsu Fourtrak in that time. Now I drive the Fourtrak and a 1989 Eunos Roadster (Mazda MX-5 to you) but I’ve got no photos of those.

Nice oddball selection there. And I know about Miatas/Eunos/MX5s

I wish I’d kept the Ricard Ami van (the red one). That was one cool motor car. :sunglasses: The Eunos is great fun though.

lappland life 125.JPGBest car i’ve ever owned.Like me,not pretty but perfect for the Environment here.Mitsubishi L200,2000,bought with 150,000kms.Now 270,000kms driven for last 5yrs,1 new alternator,new front brake pads.thats it.Brilliant.

My two current vehicles.

This is mine for the time being, will be driving the car I bought my dad last year as its just stood at the moment with my dad being off work.

So will be a little project for me to get the car gleaming and running smoothly again  although its not let us down yet. Reckon a different colour wouldn’t go a miss!

Cheers

My stepmother had one exactly like that as a company car back around 97. Big old diesel lump that pulled like V8 Topline. They do look good in white, but they age quick if you go with the peugeot colour.

Indeed, its a 1.9 and does around 50-65mpg depending how much you thrash it. Have to admit it doesn’t sound as healthy as it should do but that’ll be something to look at in the future  I often thought they looked well in a dark blue or white. Who knows !

Cheers

Bullet proof those Volvo’s Pete. Certainly got better build quality than the new motors.
Cheers Dave.

A Volvo with a wobble box and a tipper in the avatar? That’s some combination! Split personality? :grimacing:
