Went to bed last night with job , woke up got sorted and went to write down Coll ref to find out job gone and nothing replacing it , so rings up to be told ring at 6 when planners arrive , so sat here twiddling my thumbs , I thought this was the age of 24/7 work and efficiency 
I assume your card was in and you were getting paid from the time you were told to start until you were able to contact the planners?
If no, then why didn’t you put your card in?
If yes, then your getting paid for nothing, so what’s the problem?

Our ‘transport department’ is manned Mon-Fri 6:30-15:30…3 of us work Sunday-Thursday 19:00-01/02:00…we have to phone the warehouse supervisor for ANY issues that arise and let them deal with it!
2 of our depots are manned 24/7…Not sure if any of the others are.But i agree.They bloody should be…After all they run the trucks 24/7…

If there’s an issue that stops the job I’ll ring a manager up any time of the night and get them up. Never had any complaints before, better to do that and cover your own arse than them turn around and say why didn’t you ring us.

I thought you worked for Stobarts?? Surely they must have planners on duty 24/7 at pretty much all of their depots?
Even our place (just over 200 units) has planners in the office 24/7.
