Should the UK Ban The Burqa in Public Places ? (Poll)

@tachograph More sticking to a wrong interpretation, rather than the intent.
The Bible is no better. Reasonable clergy preach, turn the other cheek. The misguided zealots push an eye for an eye.

It’s all about interpretation and perception. I’ve just seen an advert for a dog groomer. In 2025 dog grooming might lift a few eyebrows, not to mention a few tails

Star down under, reading the text in grey the quotes from the Qur’an that Robroy posted.

None of those quotes can be misinterpreted. They are quite clearly encouraging violence and death to those who don’t follow Islam.

Yes not all Muslims are terrorists or bad people but the Qur’an is clear in its message.

Really?
Is that accurate?

Do you realise that the Qur’an is written in Arabic? And that the “quote” is obviously a translation?
Many Muslims learn Arabic so that they can understand the Qur’an better.

The Qur’an itself is meant as addition to earlier texts, including the Torah, and the Gospels.

Some one reading the words in a translation of unknown quality, and taking a few lines out of the full context, and pronouncing that the meaning is unambiguous is really very silly.

You can always rely on him eh? :joy:

No…I just made it up for a laugh.

Un be ■■■■■■ liveable.…an apologist for the kin khoran now as well. :joy:

You think the Qur’an encourages peace and love to us ‘infidels’ then?

Get real Franglais.

He’ll be checking what the official line is…….from those who rely on their votes first before you get an answer.

A statement there, that is a definite ‘‘contradiction in terms’‘ if ever I heard one.:grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

It beggars belief Robroy.

He’s playing a smart game mate. When our luck runs out and the authorities don’t foil yet another Islamic inspired attack, he knows he’ll be spared because he defended them on a truck forum! :joy:

He certainly is playing the smart game. He knows Starmer’s activist court judges can’t touch him because he opposed my online ‘hate speech’.
