Should I buy my own unit....

Hi All,

Should I go ahead and buy my own unit !! and what is the best to pull for, I was thinking bulk,anyone out there that pulls for a bulk company and what should I expect say for a load from Sussex to Manchester or Liverpool ! and what would be the rate from UK to France or Belgium
Or maybe fridge work !!

Advise would be greatfully recived

If your not sure what sort of work your after then no don’t buy a unit and nobody on here is going to tell you what rates their getting as who wants to invite competition, there’s enough out there already!

in the nicest posible way have you been sniffing glue pal

Plenty to work to belgium quite a few you pay them a twenty to do the load

If you not sure on rates running costs cashflow
Then i recconend go bk to drawing board

i know the price of 3 loads ive done,told by t.o,big difference from one load to another,fridge work,but not much difference in travelling time to be honest,i know one contact we didnt renew was meant to be £10 per pallet :open_mouth: :open_mouth: ,t.o bod said could just make money if local,but london to scotland :open_mouth: :open_mouth: :exclamation: ,glad to see the back of it

I would imagine it wasn’t very profitable at a tenner a pallet, even a big Luton Van will only get 6 pallets on it (depending on weight) :laughing: :laughing:

Who in there right mind would even quote that to start with at those rates , thats asking for trouble hope they sacked their salesman
26 plts £260 get more than that from london to birmingham let aknown scotland
Not much hope for the franchises then at those rates

Good news mate, any ‘specialist’ surgeon (like brain, heart etc) will earn from £100k a year, so why not re-train■■? Back to school for some TOP A levels, (not the type in the prozzy’s adverts!!) then university for 3 years, then med’ school for 3 more to Qualify as a doctor!! Then train more for your speciality whilst working, well, you couldn’t carry on as a none specialist doctor on a mere £65k!! how on earth would you make ends meet■■? :wink: :wink: :wink:
