I live very near to the airport and this morning it has been very busy with pleasure flights in and out,it just doesn’t seem right to me when there are still people unaccounted for and the A27 remains closed,is it just me??
It’s just you
It’s an airport, they have a business to run at the end of the day. The crash didn’t actually happen on the airport grounds so no need to close it and affect their business. Harsh as it sounds
As above, life as crass as it sounds does move on.

I’m at the other end of the runway to the crash. Been a strange week without the noise of the planes.
Despite the tragedy life has to continue and at the end of the day the airport is a business.
As far as I know, all people are now accounted for.
At which point would it be acceptable to you to open it up again bearing in mind Sussex Police have said it may still be many more weeks of searching and there’s a likely hood not all body parts will be accounted for?

I think maybe when the A27 reopens then try to get things back to normalty, if that is possible.

No I don’t think it’s just me,the airshow was staged there and I don’t suppose they staged it for free like you say it is a business, so it just does not sit quite right with me.The whole area has been affected by the road closure yet they are allowed to come and go as they please and not be affected, that’s wrong as well, just seems disrespectful to those who have lost their lives, and to their relatives.

I agree with what you’re saying but the world can’t come to a standstill because of one tragic accident. The crash happened on the road so of course it’s going to be closed. If it didn’t then the road would be open as per normal. If it was the other way around and it happened on the runway then the airport would be closed and the A27 would be operating as normal, that’s just the way it is.
