Well that must be a major blow for Fullers
They have been in Mars since long before I ever delivered there and I have been going for 25 years.
Fullers Transport 1966 - 2010 Birth to Earth.

EDDIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE. i bet.
They pulled a blinder there really, they have kept the warehousing side of it, thats where the money is. There aint much cash in transporting the products.
1.DHL 2. Eddie 3. Fowler Welch
My money is on those, in that order, bet now. I wouldn’t say we’ll see too many Fullers wagons on the road from January onwards, if any?
Hiya …i used to go into mars in 73 fullers trucks everywhere. this is perhaps good for fullers(getting rid of trucks)

Fullers ran liquid chocolate from Slough to Telford every day to make Easter eggs but apart from that the gang of jokers in the Mars weighbridge canteen were on 24 hours ruuning to Bicester
my guts tell me its TDG who got the job
Nowt for loyalty in this game is there.Whenk i first ,started in 1970 the customer was stated the going rate for the job,for many yrs now its been how little will you do it for.Bad luck for fullers same ,thing happened to a firm i used to work for william nuttalls clifton m/c they lost the exide battery contract.
But its happening all over and can only get worse.
regards dave.
Yeah i was think E.S. TOO.
I think may be James Irlam pipped Stobarts to the post for that contract
Can you imagine series 2 of “Stobarts ■■■■&Tossers” (think thats whats its called)…
the narrator “the driver is carrying a highly dangerous loads of liquid chocolate”
Driver to camera “you only have to look at the chocolate the wrong way and kablamow!!”
Irlams and Stobarts are in the same group of companies

How very true.
When I started driving on the SKF job out of Tongeren our boss was getting a very good rate,if not he wouldn’t have touched it.
Quality of service was the name of the game then and that was reflected in the rate. But,over the years SKF decided to start doing the logistics themselves, out went Schenker BTL (formerly BTL-Scansped-Bilspedition-Autotransit) who had run the transport for SKF for donkeys years.
At the time there was always the same drivers and companies running out of Tongeren, now there is only Bolk Transport from Almelo and TNT left, the rest are made up from various German companies who’s drivers don’t even speak German.
It had always been a Swedish transport company that handled the trips to and from Gothenburg, firstly Onsala Ã…keri, who I drove for, then Borje Jonsson and Nils Hansson.
Nils Hansson decided to call it a day earlier this year, they couldn’t make it pay.
In their place is now Van Dieren, who send everything up to Sweden via Herne in Germany on multi-modal.
SKF are complaining that trailers arrive late,or don’t arrive at all.But hey, they are paying peanuts so what do they expect?
The showers at Tongeren are in danger of being permanently closed, because drivers keep stealing the fittings.
And they call it progress.

WWWWWWWWWWWWWWhhhhhhhoooooooooooooooooooooooooosssshhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Ah yes, Folwer Welch run the transport from a Great Bear warehouse in Desborough so if that is a Mars operation then looks like Welch may be the front runner. Also if the the shunters say so then it must be true, always the first to know.
my money is on Abbey road tanks getting the work. and they don’t undercut.
