Thanks, He was transport and plant manager at Connel’s, he purchased the Mack truck brand new ,thats on some of these pics.

Quickmix used to have a plant on Crabtree Lane in the Clayton area of Manchester during the late 60s.I remember my dad when he was on for Thomas Lambs running stone into there yard.Also Langley Rd Salford and Heywood.

it was just done to be a bit more modern looking.
David Hall of Bury, that’s a nice photo and a reminder of what was a sizeable fleet, very much a Commer two-stroke stronghold, rigids and artics. Went into the TDG stable of companies IIRC.
