Shell Loyalty Card .......No Points for HGV Anymore

Has anyone else discovered that Shell won’t accept loyalty cards anymore for HGV.

Cashier at Peterbrough services on Friday night claims we can’t use them anymore and showed me the letter he has from Shell stating that points added since November should not of been awarded and won’t be honoured due to ‘technical error’ !!

Find it strange that no other Shell garage during the wk refused the card !!

Shell has always bee one of the worst paying IMO and had a limit of 100-200 (125/175?) liters per transaction.

Fuelgenie or Cash is the best way to go at Morrisons. £5 voucher every 500 litres.

I had my shell points card refused at Markham Moor services last week and was told the same then it was accepted at Tibshelf services the following week, wether points are hounered time will tell.

Just don’t use that garage again, mate of mine said the same thing about a garage we use, he got refused the points, got shown the letter, I went in an hour later and got the points, I always ‘swipe’ my points card first then the fuel card, I know there’s another post on here regarding something about some cards with something about the card number that’s supposed to stop them giving the shell points

This has been a random thing for ages, sometimes I get the points and sometimes not even at the same location!

Tibshelf have consistently given them out, even asking if you’ve got one when you go pay for your fuel.

The Ts and Cs of the card clearly state that “Purchases made using a CRT euroShell Fuel Card or CRT Reseller/Agency card are not eligible to earn Shell Drivers’ Club points.”

Similar applies to some BP cards and Nectar points.

The shell just b4 st clears did the same to me a few weeks ago, showing me the letter. On checking my account i’ve never had points issued fron them-there loss there is about six of us who stopped there twice a week but no longer.Had points from everwhere else since.

We run on Shell cards and if you look at the long card number you can tell if it’s going to give you points or not.

If it starts with 700 points are awarded, 705 depends on the station and 755 points are declined.

I just used my card fine, and it said the points were awarded. Whether they honour it or not…Who knows

Its been hit an miss for years ,totally depends on the fuel card used as they tend to lock out points . 1 company I worked for years ago had all the cards locked out for points giving a better discount on the fuel price

Our place have company points cards! Never had it refused.

Mine is 700…and I do not get points. Company gets a reduction in price of fuel.

Can only tell you what our company runs like tbh, our cards work as above, it was a Shell manager that gave the info though so I’d have expected it to be the same for all cards. Obviously not…

I was given a Euroshell card last week. i havent had one for over 2 years.
The 1st time i used it, at Taunton Deane, they offered me a loyalty card and i got the points. i then tried to use it at a smaller Shell station and they refused to give me points and showed me a letter. he said it was because they were a franchise. he suggested i rang the number on the back of the loyalty card, give them the receipt number, and Shell should put the points on. i didnt bother, but it seems certain cards and certain places dont work. pot luck.
