R.I.P.I used to enjoy listening to "truckers hour"when I was a baker, used to think that their job sounded a lot more interesting than mine. She ran a lonely hearts thing for a while ,were any of you out there involved in that?
condolences to her family
wow
RIP Sheila Tracy, fond memories of the Truckers Hour at 1am every morning on radio 2 in the late seventies, early eighties.
R.I.P Sheila. Had the pleasure to meet her at Truckfest @ Newark around the time she was doing “Truckers Hour” … might have been the !st ever Truckfest … remember it was Easter W/end and it SNOWED
I’ve got a couple of autographed photos of her somewhere … with my Lynn Bowles ones
Remember Sheila getting into trouble with BBC for reading requests sent by drivers in CB lingo … turned out, some of it was RUDE … I mean … who would have though drivers would do that
I remember her truckers hour, does anybody remember Bruno Brookes having a similar thing in the 80s on Radio 1?
