Sheeting and ropes

Well.
Here I am.
Wasn’t even looking for a job yet when my friend share an info
that the company who his working for have a vacancy.
Just to make my friend happy got an interview.
Family run business for 40 years and owner still remember
the time when he didn’t had any experience and had to start from
nothing. So I have given a chance to proove myself which I really
appreciate.
Flatbed job with sheeting and roping. I’ll be out with my friend to
practice it.
So the question is:
As I google around can find number of knots. Which one is most likely
to come across to prctice it at home? Is it Dolly Knot?

The dolly knot is the most commonly used knot for these purposes.

Good luck, Pete

Out of interest, what do people think of the simplified version as demonstrated in this video:

Bloke calls it a truckers hitch, but would folk agree it isn’t (quite) a dolly knot?

When I google around this one was the one which I learnt first.
Then I found the proper Dolly Knot. One of advantages is you can do it in the middle of the rope what is more complicated in this guy’s video.

I think this is a good video as it demonstrates how you can do two together to get even more tension
