SHEDS

The chimney man would be the late Fred Dinah. Not much wrong with real men doing real work with real wagons.Aproperly driven and serviced motor could last for 30 years depending to some extent on the work that it does.

Who were that lot in south Wales who were still running AECs up until the early 1990s? Red, they were.

British Bakeries at Watnall used to run some really old and tired Daf 75 day cab units - the interiors would not have passed a food hygiene inspection!

Nowadays they seem to have taken the path of most other operators; keep 'em for 3 years and hand 'em back - their ‘sheddiness’ is then not allowed to fester over a longer period!

just thought of another one. Squires transport pulling boxes, no idea where they’re based.

Squires motors appear to be anything but sheds! Just well looked after older vehicles.

My definition of shed includes a lack of care bestowed upon it by the drivers and garage. … It doesn’t have to be old to be a shed

I saw one of the blinged up scania tankers when i was out at night ,i thought it was a spaceship :open_mouth: : :open_mouth: turns out they are petrol tankers that come from the mainland onto the island every know and again to bring fuel

Scamellllllllll.

Give me an older motor with a proper gearstick… and without the plethora of electronics that can leave you stranded ad infinitum…
