Severn bridge toll

I think the toll is wrong ! I also think taking a badge holder along to save paying is totally wrong and abusing what the blue badge is for.

There is nothing wrong with acting entirely within the law to minimise your tax liability.

Think of the (welsh) children…

No, why should we?
It’s all wrong, having to pay to go into Wales but not to come into England. Should be the other way round.

Are you for real? “pay” to enter england :open_mouth: :open_mouth: if you look close enough you will find that the birds across the river fly upside down as they can see there is enough ■■■■ in your country and don’t want to add to it,fair play to them as I don’t give 2 ■■■■■ as when I cross that bridge all the rubbish collected goes flying out the window… I love adding to it…love thy neighbour and all that bollox!!

Its a cheap price to pay to enter Gods country, who in their right mind would pay to go to England?

What Dave said. Abuse of the blue badge is rife enough already, with non-disabled drivers using them to park where they like when they like.

I support the blue badge scheme BTW on the grounds that I might well need to benefit from it myself one day. Therefore I don’t want to see it abused by idiots now so that it ain’t there for the genuinely needy later.

That is something totally different, that is unlawful. It is not unlawful to cross the Severn Bridge for nothing if your passenger holds a Blue Badge, regardless of the toll class of the vehicle.

If they wanted it to be illegal, the Severn Bridge could soon change their Terms and Conditions.

It was meant a bit tounge in cheek I wouldn’t realy try it but it is a rip off price and there is no practical alternative without a big detour.
Where with the M6 toll it’s your choice.
Luckily there is a surcharge in the job rate to cover the cost.

There are whole new set of regulations coming in concerning blue badges. The new badges will have a similar thing as a bar-code on them with the disabled persons details.
If the guy with the lorry takes his mate with the badge along for a trip into Wales genuinely then fair enough. But if he takes him along just to save the toll fee. That is taking the ■■■■ and abusing the blue badge. Abusing the blue badge scheme will balls it up for people who desperately need to park close to a building/place because of mobility issues.

big clampdown coming in scotland over blue badge abuse was on the news a few days ago
good news for delivery drivers as blue badge holders park in loading bays and stay there all day while at work
recent surveys recon 40% of people who park all day in glasgow using a blue badge are using it illegaly

on bridge tolls
up here in scotland one of the first things the scottish parliment done was to remove all road tolls
i remember the sky bridge was £89:00 return
