Theres no toll booth in the world that could stop people trying to get out of wales.
I’d gladly pay to get out! When i used to pull tilts, depending on where abouts we were going (anywhere west of Cardiff really) we would go (from Felixstowe, and if we werent in a rush) round Gloucester ring rd, and up the B4215 thru Newent, and come on at j.3 of M50, then down. Now with the job im doing, we only go to Cardiff if we go to Wales. I dont honestly know if the ‘B’ road has got a weight limit on it. It was used by a lot of trucks to dodge the ridiculous bridge charge.

I can never understand why. Even when diesel was cheap, you’d use more ■■■■■■■ about on that road than cruising straight down the M4, so it wiped out any savings at the bridge.
7.5 ton weight limit on the Newent road at the moment. It’s been in place since they started the roadworks on the M50 between J1 & J2 to stop people using it. You can still go up the Ledbury road from Gloucester and onto the M50 though.
